Take an epic pizza journey deep within one of New Haven’s major pizza neighborhoods as we venture to some of the best pizzerias and indulge in their award winning pies. This expert led walking tour brings us to one of the oldest pizzerias in the country, as well as some more recent standouts in the East Rock neighborhood.
Our journey starts at Michelina’s Apizza for their wood fired pizza including a mozzarella pie, and a cauliflower crust bacon & onion pie, as well as a local craft beer. Next we head over to the legendary Modern Apizza for their brick-oven, oil-fired apizza including a plain tomato pie, a mozzarella pie and their famous meat-lovers Italian bomb pie, along with local craft beer. Next we visit Cast Iron Chef Chop House for their special cast iron pan margherita and carbonara pizza along with a glass of beer or wine. We finish our tour with the high spirited wood-fired Da Legna X Nolo for their charred offering of a tomato pie, a mozzarella pie and one of their popular specialty pizzas selected by their pizzaiolo, along with a local craft brew.
